Carmen is a Managing Director in KPMG ESG Assurance practice and the leader at the KPMG U.S. Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Assurance Delivery Center. Carmen is a key member in developing infrastructure to scale the firm’s ESG assurance capabilities and shaping the KPMG U.S. approach to ESG assurance. She is experienced in leading ESG engagements, which include assurance of use of proceeds of green bonds, standalone greenhouse gas emissions reports, and full corporate responsibility reports. Carmen also specializes in ESG reporting readiness assessment over key components of entity’s measurement and reporting process for GHG and other non-financial metrics, defining, and articulating the pre-conditions necessary to receive assurance, and assisted client to address any gaps on the road to assurance.

Carmen has served as KPMG US representative on the World Economic Forum and Big 4 technical team for development of the Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics in support of consistent ESG reporting of sustainable value creation.
